Back too HSS

today was aug 31.
The celebration of teacher's day in primary and secondary school.
I went back to visit some of my teachers in HSS.

Hss had changed to a certain extent.
The bookshop which was once non airconed,
was turned into 1 air conditioned high class bookshop
sort of popular style
unfortunately the space was small.

I saw quite a few old friends
But only 3 from my class, derek, xuan ming and gowri..
Met up with mr chong, ms linda, mr singh, ms lio, mrs mak, mr lee chun kit and not forgetting the ever heavy mr roland tan..
Mrs mak comment that i had became more handsome than before...
hahaha...

left the place at around late 11+

attending funeral

For the next few days after my camp,
i was accompany my mum to attend funeral till late nights.
My granduncle had passed away.
His granddaughter was the same age as me and was not bad looking..

Fastforward to the last day where the body had to be cremated.
Before the body was taken to guang ming shan to be cremated,
families of the deceased had to "merry go around" to take a last look at the deceased.

This was the part where most people cried badly.
The atmosphere and seeing the people around me cried so badly makes me want to cry too.
it was a strange feeling.
i just felt like crying even though the deceased was not close to me.
My grandama, mum and aunties all cried.

The body was taken to guang ming shan after that and cremated.
Delicious vegetarian lunch was also served.
After this, we followed the family back to their home back in changi to pack up things.
After packing up, we had to go back to guang ming shan in bishan for the family of the deceased to collect the ashes of the dead.

the next destination was another monastry in simei.
where the dead would be "housed there"

Finally after this, we can leave.
The bus dropped us at simei mrt
and we departed.

RCHN camp

the day after my chalet was the red cross camp.
what a hectic schedule..
the camp site was very far away.
somewhere at changi where there was a beautiful view of the sea
and where you can see lots of planes flying past the blue skies every minute.

upon reaching there, we had to be split into different groups.
My group had 20 people!
while saras's only had 9.

Spliting into different groups is something which i do not really like.
The feeling of being with strangers would be kind of hard for an introvert like me.
when i'm being exposed to such situitation, i would tend to be very uncomfortable and be quite antisocial and quiet.
That is why i do not really like the idea of being exposed to many strangers at one time.
But after about half the day gone, i was finally able to open up.
And to my surprise, some of the people at my group were actually living quite near to me.

There was one guy who was from the same secondary school and graduated the same year as me. However, he was from sec 5, that's why i could hardly recognise him.

There was another gal who's from outram secondary, another school that is near my place.
She was from jagoh primary and is living around telok blangah heights.

Saras and i started to crap the moment we got there.

There were also a lot of team building games which may helped to sort of bond relationships.

It was also the 1st time i got hugged by so many gals as there were many difficult tasks such as those kind of squeeze squueeze games.

In the evening, i had to dress up the model from our chapter to represent RP in the "fashion show"

we thought we were already creative enough.

However, seeing the representative from NUS and other chapters made us feel that poly brains were really not up to the standards of the university brains.

saras, syahidah and me left the campsite at that night.

I bid my group members fareware and saras did not forget to take some pictures with her group with my 2.0 mega pixels camera phone.

There was 1 gal in her group that was quite cute...

Day 2

We went for steam bath early in the morning..
actually not that early either...
it was already around 12+
because everyone woke up late..
i was unable to get used to it..
the lack of O2.
Breathing was difficult inside..
I sneaked out of the room and went in again..
This time i have adapted better and tried breathing through my mouth..
After this HOT steam, we went to dip in the pool.
And back to the steam bath again and back into the pool...

After the tiring exercise, we went for lunch at BK and went to the arcade...
There we saw a small kid of around 7 or 8 years old who was very pro at daytona.
beside the daytona machine, was a machine meant only for the kids..
LKY was sitted at the machine and i played a prank on her..
i tapped my card and the machine started to operate..
Think she was able to find her childhood memories back.... haha

After chalet, we went back to the chalet to rest.

Not long later, it was bbq time.

Benjie was the man as he started the fire by himself..

of course, there were some others to help him along...

I also helped out with the barbeque,

especially with the satay and wings

and i was termed the honey man as i was the one applying the honey..

seriously speaking.. the wings than gifford and i cooked taste better than BJ's

The faci also came after julius left...

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

And we had our class photo...

After the facs left, we took a late night walk to pasir ris park.

on the way we created quite a stir, which somehow involved the security..

This was the move that involved the security..

we also took other pics..

Day 3

We had breakfast at the foodcourt again..

and this time it was time to depart..

On the way we saw one really interesting sign...

Bj went off in a cab with his gal

and the rest of us departed at the mrt station.

Most took bus while some took MRT

1st wk of holiday

1st week of my holiday have been quite busy.
First i had w36f chalet, then followed by red cross camp and
lastly these few days followed my mum to attend funeral till late night.

Chalet

The 1st day of holiday was already our class chalet..
a few of us gathered at simei mrt station at 2pm
however, i was quite early.
i reached there at 1:40
after meeting up with bj and frens, we went to the nearby shopping centre, east point
to buy the chalet necessities including, disposable cups, drinks, ice creams, pasta and some other supplies.

After that we made a trip to his condo at simei,
to help him bring blender and some equipments to the chalet.
And we made 2 trip there as we found out that we had left out some stuffs there.
The chalet was at aranda, downtown east pasir ris.
it was quite big bigger than those typical costa sands room
It had a living room, kitchen, 2 rooms and 2 toilets.

We had our late lunch cum dinner at the food centre
And BJ “created” a dish with all the leftovers..
yucks..

Everything was quite boring till the night where most of the crowd came. To pass time, we gambled some blackjack and i lost abt $2++ thank goodness it was 10 cent 10 cent, if not i would really be broke. wonder if bj was cheating, he kept WINNING all the time.. haha..

At around 10+, more people had came.
We were feeling hungry and BJ decided to cook his specialty
Pasta and oreo and cream milkshake.

I think everyone was hungry...

That is why we managed to finish the whole pot of pasta.

After late night supper, we went to the room and play some torturing games..

it was sort of a game when someone think of a number and you kenna when you said the " correct number".

so wad excactly was the forfeit?

2 bottles of 40% alcohol mixed with a little softdrink.

Lucky i did not kenna at the game.

I only drank one cup after the game.

Most of those who did not kenna drank one cup while some managed to escape.

LKY after drinking one cup became sick with overflowing mucus.

We also played some friskbie game and the one who did not catch had to do push up, or get wacked...

These are few pictures of the aftermath...

After this tideous game, it was already wee hours of the morning..

LKY was sick and was left with the few who were half drunk at the chalet..

We walked to the 24hrs foodcourt to have some early breakfast...

After breakfast, we returned to the chalet.

james left while some of the others fall asleep soon after that..

So the rest of us talked to sunrise with george...

And i didn't managed to catch a wink that day..

There just wasn't enough space..

A trip to the Chinese Sensei ( tui na)

Today was a bad day.
Woke up with a pain in the neck.
Pain and I mean REAL PAIN.
I think it might be due to my sleeping posture in the night.
Bad posture that caused this PAIN.

The pain was that pain that I couldn’t even keep my head straight.
Had to keep it tilted to the right.
As the pain was on the left.

My mum brought me to some Chinese sensei.
The guy requested that I remove my shirt.
Next he started to rub some medicated oil on the injured part.
This pain was unbearable.
The sensei’s strength coupled with his rub and pull,
Caused this excruciating pain.

I started to sweat a lot.
Body, hand, feet, as well as face.
For some unknown reason, my whole body started to shiver vigorously.
I was not cold nor was I frightened.
Maybe it was due to the stress and anxiousness.
The person said I broke out in cold sweat.
According to A&P, homeostasis,
When I’m Sweating, I should not be shivering..
He stopped treatment.
The aunties there become worried.
Another more experienced old sensei took over.
He took some REALLY HOT water.
Asked me to drink.
And to hold the hot cup with my palms.
To absorb the heat.
Even till then, I was still shaking quite badly.
Couldn’t even hold the cup properly and the person had to help me.
He waited till the shiver subsided.
And continue to massage the injured part a little.

In the end, the bill was $20.
For pain, sweat and some hot water.
But I must admit, my neck is much better now.
At least, I could keep my head straight now.
But the pain is still there.
