This is the worst ut grade i've had.

1st lab work
I have got an idea of what the lab in RP is about. First time being in the RP lab give me an experience that is different from labs of my previous experience. The equipments are sophisticated and the lab is much smaller as well.
It is also the first time I had experienced such PBL lab works. From my past experience, there were usually guides or manuals to teach us what to do. In secondary schools, our teachers would show us the experiment before we engage in the activities. In addition, there were also notes to show us what to do.
In Junior college (Catholic JC which I experienced), it was a bit of an in between secondary schools and PBL. There were sets of instructions given. However, the teacher just let you experiment on your own.
In other polytechnics such as NP, I know that they also have steps to guide students what to do.
In PBL, we were required to do everything on our own, without instructions or demonstrations by facilitator. To put it bluntly, it is like sending an army to war without weapons. I think this is what PBL is about. The army has to learn to win the war without weapons and the students have to learn on their own.
This may explain the uneasiness and the obstacles we faced in today’s lab lesson. This is because in terms of powerpoint, we are already comfortable with it. However, to do lab work with PBL, this is our first.
I also feel that time management is quite important as we did not had much time as we were still familiar with the new lab concepts and so on.
