happy chinese new year...
its 2.50 now and way past midnight...
and here i am, typing out my blog...
CNY in my hometown, telok blangah was nothing unique.
though, in the morning, i could hear bangs and clangs from chinese drums and instruments,
indicating that CNY has arrived..
For this year's reunion dinner,
i had dinner with my family at owen restaurant at turf city.
it was a sumptious meal with crabs and prawns.
This was the 2nd year that we are having dinner outside.
Thanks to my aunt,
that my mum need not work and work like hell,
preparing the reunion dinnner..
Because my GM ( because she's our grandma and also the sense of authority in the family)
would tend to invite all the CHAN family to my pathetic 4 room flat house
and gather to eat..
And no one would be helping her..
thus, my mum would have to slog and slog..
Of couse, GM was not happy that my aunt booked a table before telling her..
she wanted a sense of reunion where all the family could gather..
After dinner, we went to my maternal grandparent's house.
it was located at chinatown
Chinatown was lively with all the decorations and the people.
At exactly 12 am, CNY.
there was firecrackers and fireworks..
I even managed to light up a firecracker myself.
My cousin had brought it back from m'sia.
I was nervous of course.
It was deafening when it blasted..
And my ear had to bear the consequences...

today we had a new fac.
she was so blur.
we had to teach her how to open the quiz and stuffs.
she even didn't know where to get the uploaded stuffs.
i had to teach her that.
can't blame.
her first day.
after school, i was designing the ppt for the t shirts.
my friend terry saw me doing it and wanted to help me.
he said i could pass him a drawn design and he could help me design it in computer format.
so nice of him.
but i declined his help as it was none of his business anyway.
i'm not doing for the current class,
so it does not seem nice to make him do for 0107.
besides i can't draw and a drawn design would be tough.
but it was really nice of him anyway..
think i'm down with flu.
been sneezing the whole day.
taken my medicine.
going to rest soon.

today's finally got a day of rest..
for the past few days, i've been busy with the open house duty.
doing first aid duty.
Just the journey to and fro would be enough to kill me.
on the 2 days i was there, there were casualty on each day.
one with Muscle strain, abrasion wound on knee, and swelling on fingers.
the other with a lesseration wound on toe.
Really tired after duties...
Can't believe that i can actually sleep standing on MRTs.
Whenever I leaned against the glass near the entrace, my eyelids would start to close.
And soon I would fall alsleep.
When tomorrow starts, I would have to deal with the class jerseys again.
This is so stressful.
Espescially collecting the payment and finding the sizes.
Now i know why james was fed up when he wanted to organise a 2nd chalet during the june holidays last year.
I'm still not able to get payment from some yet.
And when the jerseys are ready,
I would still have to check whether the stocks are correct.
No way am I going to make class to class deliveries.
Hope everyone turn up to vote for the design tml..
I really need their approval for the designs.

What meaningful things have you done during holidays?
I have done a lot of things during this December holidays. My whole month of December is totally packed with lots of activities.
For the first week from Monday to Friday, I had to attend standard first aid course. Although I already had a first aid cert, I had to attend the course as my cca required me to do so. The Friday of the first week was my test and I passed it. For the weekends, I went to help out in with the SJAB nco camp at north vista secondary school. I was in the campfire committee. In the end, the campfire was quite a success and everyone was tired.
For the second week, I attended some talks to get CE points and went out with my friends. Then on Friday, I had another camp. It was my cca red cross camp. We were not allowed to stay overnight that day as there were no facilitators staying.
The third week, I had a chalet with my previous class. It was 3 days 2 nights. The chalet was fun although there were no barbeque. Besides, we had lots of activities during the period of time.
The last week, I had to go for my open house rehearsal as there will be a performance during the rp open house. For the next few days, I went back to my secondary school to help out my SJAB juniors. I helped to monitor their first aid and foot drills.
And lastly, the day before the school reopened, I went to JB, Malaysia, with my family. We bought a lot of cheap stuffs back. However, there was a big traffic jam on our way point; from the checkpoint all the way to city square. And we reached home at about 8 plus.
It was really a busy yet meaningful holiday.

Its the begining of a new year.
the start of the year 2006.
the new year started with a cold morning.
there were slight drizzle accompanied with a touch of cool breeze.
Like every year's countdown,
this year was also the same.
I was at home to say goodbye to 2005
and hello to 2006.
do u know that as we welcomed 2006,
the people at new york are still in noon of 31 dec 2005,
preparing the arrival of 2006.
they are 12 hrs behind of our time.
And at the same time, people in china have long been celebrating the new year.
which means larry back in china has welcomed 2006 a few hours earlier than us.
However, the change of year between 05 and 06 this year seems normal.
For the past few years, when 2 or 3 jan arrived,
i would be in a new class, with new teachers and some new friends.
However, this year, when i go back to rp,
it would still be the same group of classmates and the same " friendly" facilitators.
Come to think of it,
what is so special about the new year?
isn't it just the earth having completed one revolutions around the sun.
If we ignore the day, month and year,
everyday would be the same.
The earth spinning one round on its axis as one day.
All these day, month and year are just terms given by humans to keep better track of the time .
guess i'm taking a lot of craps today..
haha..
yeah... i'm going to JB tml..
